Roots stretched across Lake Jesup

Roots Stretching Across Jesup

These snake like roots were at the perfect spot on the shoreline combine that with the beautiful sunset in the background and it definitely made all the mosquito bites worth it.

Swan in Lake Eola

Swan in Lake Eola

Beautiful pinks and purples lit up the sky and with a particularly calm Eola when I saw this swan posing with the wings up I got excited.

The Shot That Started it All

First ever print sold was of this very shot and it got me into a magazine because of it. Taken at the beginning of 2020 this marks the start of when I started taking my landscapes seriously. Downtown Orlando.

Tanqs @ Downtown Orlando.

Not much of a drinker even though I bartended right next to this Orlando staple, but even I still think tanqs is cool. Bring eye drops if you go, which you must.

Pink Sky at Overlook Park

Taken back when I first got my sony a7 I was hooked at first long exposure. This beautiful composition needed some sharpness in the foreground and these rocks are it.

Dark Hues at Eola

In the final hours of sunset I captured this long exposure of downtown Orlando. Those streaks you see were ducks swimming across and imprinting their wakes into the shot.

Follow The Sun

Taken at Red Bug Lake Park in outside of Orlando and close to the town I live in. It has these long twisting paths that are perfect for practicing compositions. Most of the parks here are.

Pagoda at Eola

Currently my most viewed shot on google maps. When I do photography I’ll post my work to google maps and this one has over half a million views alone.

That dock doesn’t exist anymore so I’m glad I captured it because it really adds to the shot.

Swan in the Fog

Unreal fog ascended upon eola one morning on a weekend so I raced downtown and couldn’t see any buildings at all. Luckily this guy was shaking off at the perfect time. Really like this shot.

Chattanooga Sparkles at Night

My favorite city other than Orlando of course. Big bridges and a river that runs right through the middle. I could walk around for hours and play with compositions all day and night.

Simplicity

Fog is my favorite weather phenomenon. Much like slow motion makes everything cool, fog makes every composition pop. This single tree caught my eye. Its been the background on my phone since I took it.

Twisted Tree Stands Amongst the Ash

To go with the last picture this was taken on the same day. I love this tree and it seems there was fire damage recently so it was charred. I wanted to capture it before it eventually falls.

The Cyberpunk City

I go to Jacksonville all the time and I’ve never been disappointed by the views. Big imposing buildings with a very wide lake running through it make finding striking compositions super easy.

Shaking off The Fog

Number two in this collection of this one. I usually decide on one shot out of series but this one with the last one was too tough to decide between. Truly an epic pose I was lucky to catch

Purple and Pink Wide at Eola

This composition always jumps out at me when I’m walking around Lake Eola. Nice and flat and the fountain in the perfect spot so the eye sweeps across the image. Exactly what I was looking for.

Reflections on the Lake

Taken again at Overlook Park this crazy reflection just gives and gives. Every spot on this one gives the eye something to do with the dock anchoring it right in the center. I really love shooting at that place

Fog Illuminated by Streetlights

This is the dock in the previous shot just up close and on another crazy fog morning. I remember clouds of fog sweeping across the lake. It looks surreal with the harsh orange glow from the interstate in the background.

Dew on the Web

On the way home from shooting the previous shot I noticed a farm with dead orange trees all over and this wonderful arrangement of dew on a web.

Life Taking Over Death

Loved the idea of the trees of yesterday making way for the ones of tomorrow. Found this dead tree in the fog with new plants already growing after getting burned. Again with the fog it really adds drama to this one

Foot out!

I have no idea why this swan was kicking it’s foot out like this but its super cute and with Orlando setting the background it was definitely worth a portrait.

Tree in the Lake

This tree had eluded me up to the point. The equipment I have make getting a shot like this very difficult with the terrain at Lake Eola. I’m literally under a little footbridge crouched over trying to get the right angle.

A Way Through Charleston

For my birthday in 2021 I took a trip to South Carolina and this bridge was begging for some attention so I gave it some and got this beautiful composition of the clouds in the background.

The Carousel At Myrtle Beach

While in SC I had a chance to go out to Myrtle Beach and spent some time hunting for compositions and this one was about all I could get without a bunch of people in it. Super busy that day.

Peekaboo!

I was setting up for a shot but still hadn’t dialed in the setting for a long exposure on my camera yet and this one came right up as I was doing some test shots and I found it when I got home to review. I laughed out loud when I saw it.

The Road to Splendor

Shot with my DJI mini which is now at the bottom of Lake Jesup (rip) this is a 3 second long exposure of interstate 417 during the Saharan dust storm every year. It makes for very colorful sunsets.

God Rays on the Lake

Taken at my photography playgound, again at Overlook Park but this time facing completely away from the dock and towards the sunset. The clouds blocking the sun in just the right way!

Picturesque in Helen

Every building there looks like this and I couldn’t get enough of how different that makes the compositions. I will go back there anytime.

River Running Through a Germantown

Helen, Ga is one of my favorite places on the planet. Mountains everywhere and this amazing river that flows through the little Germantown makes me feel like I’m in another century and I love it.

Everything Aligned in Orlando

One of my favorite shots of The City Beautiful. Clouds make or break a sunset composition for me. Double that for a cityscape. This couldn’t have worked out better that night. The moon in the background was in the perfect spot too.

Making Ripples in Downtown Orlando

I’ve been told my swan shots make them look 100 feet tall and this one is no exception. Taken on the same night as the last shot this perfectly framed swan is really showing its good side.

Swan Enjoying Dinner at Eola

This guy kept sticking its head in and out of the water and I noticed how the water would bead up on its feathers when it came out so I tried to capture that and got this one with water splashing down.

Chattanooga Ultrawide

Nestled between 2 striking bridges this wide of Chattanooga really shows off how pretty that place gets at night.

Sky Changes Behind The Trees

Love the way the sky looks completely different behind the trees. I didn’t notice that until I got it on my timeline to edit and really loved how the “waves” on the shore of the lake filled in the foreground.

Kalidescope at Eola

This rainbow of lights stretching across Lake Eola of downtown really caught my eye that night so I focused on doing a wide of the skyline, something I normally don’t do at Orlando because it tends to make it look smaller in scale, but this worked out wonderfully.

Pinks and Oranges at Cranes Roost

Located in Maitland Fl Cranes Roost is a hotbed for photographers working with clients. Which is why I usually don’t go there. I don’t really like humans in my landscapes but this sky was too perfect to pass up.
